Lake Alpine Fishing - Sierra Nevada Fishing
Lake Alpine has some of the best fishing around. The Lake is planted with trout regularly from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You'll find a mixture of wild holdover and rainbow trout.
Lake Alpine is truly a fishing paradise with the scenic reservoir at an elevation of 7350 feet and covering 180 acres at a depth of 40 feet. There is easy lake access that includes a paved section that is handicapped accessible.
A speed limit of 10 mph is in effect on Lake Alpine.
The lake is a favorite of anglers fishing from float
tubes, canoes and kayaks. Motor boats, rowboats, canoes
and kayaks are available for rental from the Resort.
No fee is required for launching a boat at the U.S.
Forest Service launch ramp.
No overnight mooring is permitted, and motorized boats are not allowed on the lake at night.
A valid California state fishing license is needed to
fish here. Licenses are sold at the Gift Shop at the
Resort.
