Boating and Swimming on Lake Alpine, California
Lake
Alpine is truly a boating paradise with the scenic reservoir
at an elevation of 7350 feet and covering 180 acres
at a depth of 40 feet.
Next to Lake Alpine Resort’s private boat dock
is a public boat launching ramp, that is handicap- accessible,
for those who bring their own boats. No fee is required
for launching a boat at the U.S. Forest Service launch
ramp.
A speed limit of 10 mph is in effect on Lake Alpine.
Motor boats, rowboats, canoes and kayaks are available
for rental from the Resort.
No overnight mooring is permitted, and motorized boats
are not allowed on the lake at night.
Swimming
You can swim from either of two small sandy beaches
near our boat dock. Many enjoy swimming out to the granite
rock islands in the lake. This is a fun way to spend
the day.
There are no lifeguards on duty so
you must swim at your own risk.
